Executive Director-Finance/CFO


Our client is a community-owned, not-for-profit health care organization based in Florida that is committed to helping people throughout life’s journey. It includes three hospitals, four medical parks, an ambulatory surgery center, an Institute, a mental health center and the Physician Enterprise. It is staffed by over 7,000 employees. The organization just broke ground on a new, full facility, green field replacement for the main campus; it is expected to open in 2023. It is an “A” rated, billion dollar company with a positive financial outlook.

The Physician Enterprise is comprised of 250 providers. In 2019 the Physician Enterprise changed to provider based billing; this has created the need for deeper analytics to both illuminate operating strengths and opportunities as well as enhancing the organization’s ability to optimize revenue sources. The candidate will be coming into an environment where new ideas will be welcomed and encouraged.

Reporting to the CFO of the Healthcare Division and the President of the Physician Enterprise, the next Executive Director-Finance will be charged with leading the team in creating meaningful metrics in a value-based outcome reimbursement model, identifying revenue gaps and developing payor strategies. S/he will also provide education to executives, physicians and staff on financial concepts important to the business.

Candidates must bring a minimum of 10 years financial management including five (5) or more years of physician practice experience in a large (minimum 50) multi-specialty physician enterprise. Top candidates will bring experience in revenue cycle management, financial analytics, physician compensation and implementation of value-based reimbursement models in a clinically integrated network. To be effective, the Executive Director-Finance will be a skilled communicator experienced in developing and supporting business cases, team-oriented and demonstrate the ability to have crucial conversations. Most importantly, the candidate must demonstrate success in developing new approaches to existing challenges and assisting in visioning for the future state/bringing forth potential opportunities.
